Pleasure travel is not sex tourism

Pleasure travel is not sex tourism

We get this comment a lot: “Isn’t this just s*x tourism with prettier branding…?”

No, but the conversation deserves more nuance than a simple yes or no.

S*x tourism is complex. It can involve agency, work, survival, freedom, inequality and exploitation, sometimes several of those things at once. Consensual adult work is work, and we’re not here to shame the people involved or pretend every experience is automatically exploitative. We also won’t ignore the very real power imbalances and human rights issues that can exist.

Spicy Planet has a different focus: pleasure travel.

Cabaret nights, spas, er0t!k art, sensual workshops, k!nk and lifestyle events, intimacy retreats, and the history and culture shaping how different places experience pleasure.

We’ll discuss s*x tourism when it’s relevant, with context and without judgment. But this page isn’t a how-to guide for it.

Pleasure travel is broader, different and exactly what we’re here to explore 🌶️🌍 #pleasuretravel #pleasure #spicytravel #travel #travelling
