Terms of Service, Digital Guide Terms and Refund Policy

Last updated: 28 October 2026

These terms apply to spicyplanet.net and to everything you buy or download from it. By using the site or buying a guide you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

Who we are: Gabriel Dancause Production, 2186 route du Fleuve, Les Éboulements, Québec, Canada ("Spicy Planet", "we", "us"). Guides are written by Ali Imperiale. Contact: hello@spicyplanet.net.

1. Age

The site and the guides are for adults. You must be 18 or older, or the age of majority where you live if that is higher. By using the site you confirm that you meet this requirement.

2. What we sell

Spicy Planet sells digital PDF travel guides (the "guides") and, when it is released, the Spicy Planet 2026 book. They cover the culture, history and the sensual and sex-positive side of cities, with each place rated by spice level. The guides are independent editorial. Venues cannot pay for a place in them.

The guides are not explicit content, and they are not a service for finding, arranging or paying for sex. See also our Disclaimer.

3. Prices and payment

  • The price is shown on the guide's page in US dollars (currently $14 USD per guide) and may change. The price you see at checkout is the price you pay.
  • Payment is taken by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
  • Prices are in US dollars. The price shown at checkout is the full amount charged: nothing is added to it.
  • Sales may be closed at times. A page that says "sales open very soon" is not a sale offer.

4. Digital delivery and licence

  • After payment you are given a download link on the confirmation page . The guide is a PDF. Please download it right away and keep your copy.
  • If you lose your copy, write to us with your purchase email and we will resend it for up to 12 months.
  • When you buy a guide you get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to read it and keep it for your own use, on your own devices, and to print it for your own use.
  • You may not copy, share, resell, upload or distribute the guide, in whole or in part, or remove any notices from it. All text, photos, maps and designs belong to Spicy Planet, Ali Imperiale or their licensors.

5. Refund policy

Because a guide is delivered at once as a digital download and cannot be returned, all sales are final. We still want you to get what you paid for, so we will fix the problem or refund you if:

  • you were charged more than once for the same guide;
  • the file does not download or open, and we cannot fix it within 7 days;
  • you received a different guide from the one you bought.

To ask, write to hello@spicyplanet.net within 30 days of purchase with your purchase email and a short description. Approved refunds go back to the original payment method, usually within 5 to 10 business days. A change of mind, or buying the wrong city, is not a reason for a refund.

If required where you live, you may have rights that cannot be limited by these terms. Nothing here removes them.

6. Using the site

You agree not to misuse the site: no attempts to break or probe it, no automated scraping, no sending harmful or unlawful content through our forms, and no using our content to promote illegal activity. We may block access if you do.

7. Content, accuracy and risk

The guides and the site are a personal, evolving guide and are provided "as is". Venues close, laws change and details go out of date, so please verify opening times, prices, rules and legality before you go. You are responsible for knowing and following the laws where you travel. Any choice to visit a venue or take part in an activity is yours and at your own risk. See the full Disclaimer.

8. Third-party links

The site links to other sites (for example the Sexual Health Alliance and Instagram). We don't control them and aren't responsible for what they say or do.

9. Intellectual property

Everything on the site, including text, photos, illustrations, maps, logos and the "Spicy Planet" name, belongs to Spicy Planet, Ali Imperiale or their licensors, and may not be used without written permission. If you believe something on the site infringes your rights, write to us and we will look into it.

10. Limits on our responsibility

To the fullest extent the law allows, Spicy Planet, Ali Imperiale and anyone working with us are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for losses, injuries or legal consequences from your travel or your choices. Our total responsibility for any claim about a purchase is limited to the price you paid for that guide. Nothing here limits responsibility that cannot be limited by law.

11. Privacy

How we handle personal information is explained in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Notice.

12. Changes

We may change these terms. The new version applies from the date shown at the top. A purchase is governed by the terms in force when you bought it.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Québec, Canada, and disputes go to the courts of Québec, Canada, unless the law where you live gives you the right to go to your local courts.
